This is a group for women who are caring for an intimate partner or spouse who has a chronic illness or disability.

We Wake up and start our day NOT looking at ourselves, but off to reassure our loved one "all will be well!" Through out our day we become tired, overwhelmed, worried about the future, and depleted of energy. Our family members compliment us on being there for our loved one, yet in our mind we are thinking..."No ONE knows how hard this is and I need someone there for ME!" As we take care of our loved one, we still have normal expectations to meet with parenting, work, bills, home, relationships, and life showing up unannounced!
We notice we are agitated easily, missing sleep, missing meals, and missing out on creating our personal image of hair, make-up, accessories. These things don't disappear all at once but slowly. We look in the mirror and realize that we are slowly MISSING our selves. So...we begin to laugh less, smile less, breath less, until we are one straw away from the Camel's back breaking. This HAS to end. We must learn to to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first and then care for our loved one.
Join with other women to gain our laughter, our smile, our breath, and our relationship with self back again! Allow the group experience to help you embrace your creativity and beautiful uniqueness.
